We believe that the experiences the children encounter in the first five years of their life plays a significant role in their future development and growth. We believe this is a time where we can build on their self esteem and confidence and encourage individual growth.
Tumbling Teddy's Cottage is a long day centre designed by Prue Walsh (NSW DoCS Advisor and Child Care Licensing Book Author) catering for children aged between 0-6 years.
The centre is well equipped, with all resources complying with safety regulations. The large natural Outdoor area and Play-deck has been purposely designed to suit age appropriateness, stages of development and designed to ignite the will to explore and learn in each individual child.
The large outdoor play area is covered by two large shades structures to ensure sun smart safety requirements are meet and children are exposed to minimal amounts of direct sunlight whilst playing. The centre hours of operation are 7:30am to 6:00pm.
The centre is open for 50 weeks a year closing two weeks in late December early January and on public holidays
The centre has two rooms with qualified team leaders in each room
Tumbling Teddy's Cottage has achieved the highest accreditation ratings possible "High Quality" (HQ) in all Quality Areas of Accreditation, as part of the ?Quality Improvement and Accreditation System' (QIAS for Long Day Care Centres) by the " National Childcare Accreditation Council Inc" (NCAC).
The centre has developmentally appropriate programs incorporating school readiness skills
All permanent staff have Associate Diplomas and Certificate III in child care and have extensive experience in the child care industry
All the rooms in the centre have air conditioning to suit weather conditions and to make the indoor environment comfortable
All families are eligible to apply for fee rebates from the Family Assistance Office.
All meals are nutritionally and culturally balanced and are cooked Fresh every day on the premises by qualified persons.
All meals are designed to meet children dietary and religious requirements. Tumbling Teddy's Cottage is a 'Nut Free' centre.
