We believe in providing the highest quality of care and education for your child, by working as a team to provide a loving, secure and nurturing home like environment, filled with developmentally appropriate materials.
We believe that the first six years of a child's life is crucial to their development and potential, since during this time the child's power of absorption is the highest and when certain essential skills are more readily learned.
We believe children have a natural curiosity and love for knowledge. We believe that all children develop and learn at their own pace and need time and encouragement to attempt tasks in a supportive environment. We will practise the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, to help children reach their maximum learning potential, focusing on their unique needs, gifts and interest of each child.
We believe children who are given the freedom to follow and pursue their interests and challenge their strengths, are generally happy and busy children. We will provide opportunities for children to exercise and develop their capabilities and reach their full potential in all areas of life, including: practical life experiences, sensorial, language, mathematics, art & music, geography, and science, as well as physical, social and emotional development.
We believe that the Montessori learning environment plays a critical role in affecting the potential development and growth of the child. It is through the child's exploration and discoveries, imagination and creativity that knowledge and concepts are understood. The learning environment is designed to reinforce the child's independence and natural urge toward developing their self-help skills in a safe and stimulating atmosphere. We will aim to develop positive self-esteem, self-concepts, and ability to use initiative.
We believe all children are individuals, and should be given the respect that they deserve. We will strives to instil in each child a sense of acceptance and understanding through our diverse learning environment.
We believe in the importance of the child parent relationship, together we can make a difference. We believe that parent input and involvement, promotes the strong link between the early childhood program and the family unit. We acknowledge and respect the many different social and cultural backgrounds and diversity of children in our care, and the experiences these bring from the home environment. We will aim to foster continuity between home and the centre.
We believe by ensuring that the centre strives to meet excellent quality standards in accordance with those set by the National Accreditation Council, that we are giving peace of mind to families who use our child care and in doing so we are helping them balance their work and family life.
