North Brighton Pre School is situated in a quiet residential area at Kyeemagh, adjacent to the Public School and provides quality education and care for 41 children a day.
Established in 1965 we have earned a widespread reputation as one of the best Pre Schools in the St. George area.
The Pre School is a non profit organization, run by a Management Committee made up of Parents and people from the local community.
We are licenced and funded by the Department of Community Services and operate under their regulations.
The Pre School is open during School terms, operating between 9am and 3pm.
Our days of attendance are Monday & Tuesdays or Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
One of the Pre School's great assets is the beautiful outdoor environment. We have two spacious playgrounds with an abundance of shade. Our buildings are fully air conditioned with insulation to reduce aircraft noise.
Our qualified and experienced Staff help provide a happy, safe and nurturing environment where all children can learn and develop. Each classroom has a University trained teacher and a Qualified child care worker. There is also a University trained Additional needs teacher on the premises each day.
We welcome all children and families into a non-sexist, cross cultural, integrated learning environment.
Please phone for an appointment to tour the grounds and meet the Staff.
Our Pre School values the individuality of each child and family, embracing differences and similarities to create a rich learning environment. We provide a happy and caring atmosphere in which the children will have the opportunity to express themselves and their uniqueness.
We believe in creating individualized child centred programmes for all children which are developmentally age appropriate and strive to develop all aspects of each child (the thinking child, the communicating child, the spiritual child, the physical child, the social child and the creative child) through a wide range of play experiences, thus making learning fun and encouraging the desire for future learning.
Children will be encouraged to build values and attitudes that will enable them to live in harmony with other people and their environment, and to confidently pursue a wide range of interests, challenges and responsibilities with success, adaptability and enjoyment.
We strive to have a Pre School where Staff, Parents and the community work in a shared partnership to develop the concepts, skills and knowledge that will prepare children for a happy, safe and satisfying life.
