We cater for children from 2-6 years of age, we are open from 8-4pm.  We are open 49 weeks of the year.

Morning and afternoon tea provided. Teachers hold early childhood degrees.

Whilst we also provide fun, games and music, we differ from an ordinary pre school by preparing an environment which fosters independent learning. Our staff have been trained in the Montessori Method.

The Montessori approach fosters children's love of learning and encourages independence by providing an environment of activities and materials which children use at their own pace. This builds self-confidence, inner discipline, a sense of self-worth and instills positive social behaviour. The approach forms the basis for lifelong learning.

Every experience in a child's life is of value. When we talk about young children it is often assumed that just because they are smaller in size what they do is less valuable. Maria Montessori believed that "play" and "work" are interchangeable concepts. It is an adult interpretation to separate work and play.

LANGUAGE- ITALIAN

Montessori believed that language is learned easily by the young child and that if exposed to any language at an early age they will absorb it. Therefore we will be offering daily immersion in the Italian language.

CHILDREN'S YOGA!

Yoga is the science of the self . We offer a good quality children's yoga class which is fun and engages the child promoting a state of well being on all levels: Mind, Body and Spirit.

MUSIC

Introducing music to pre schoolers is a fun way to give your child a head start for instrumental and vocal learning . Research has shown that children who participate in pre school singing and rhymes have a big advantage when learning to read . Each child will be anactive participant in our music program offered by a qualified music teacher.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Brain development is facilitated by movement. A trained Physical Education teacher will provide a developmentally appropriate program for your child in a group setting.

Generally speaking, activities are chosen by young children to meet their inner need for self-realisation. We understand that the parents are the childs' first teachers and encourage continued participation in your childs' unique learning path.

In today's world it is more important than ever that children become motivated individuals able to develop to their full potential. More than any other approach, Montessori takes into account the whole child and his or her place in the community, hence its relevance for today and the future.
