Staff:
Staff have a range of qualifications and experience. Certificates of staff qualifications are displayed at the centre for you to see. We also pride ourselves here at Turrella Children's Centre on having a higher ratio of staff to children and more qualified staff than what is required by the NSW Children's Services Regulation. This includes a ratio of at least 1 adult to 4 every babies in our nursery.
Program:
The program at Integricare Children’s Centre Turrella encompasses the principles of the Emergent Curriculum, which allow the children to make their own choices based on individual interests, stages and strengths. The play based program is offered indoors and outdoors throughout the day. The children learning experiences are documented daily in a Daily Journal, available for parents each afternoon. This includes children's photographs and explanations of children's learning throughout the day.
To program effectively for each child, the staff keeps records of the children's interactions, play ideas, interests in an individual portfolio.
At Integricare Children’s Centre Turrella we have a comprehensive orientation process for new families which intends to develop a partnership between the centre and the families. We believe that an effective orientation process helps the new families to settle their child into the new environment, as well as develop the new relationships with the educators in each specific room.
Public Holidays:
We do not charge for Public Holidays or during the annual 4 week closedown period.
