The purpose of the Service is to provide quality care and education for children aged 0-5. This care and education may be provided on an occasional basis or as a permanent booking.
The Service provides occasional care for young children while their parents shop, work part-time, attend appointments, play sport or take time out for themselves.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Permanent places are available Mon-Fri from 8.15am- 5.15pm and occasional places are Mon- Fri 9.00am-3.30pm.
Occasional care bookings will be taken a maximum of one (1) week in advance and require a specified time slot to be booked. This allows for maximum use of the Service and ensures a place is reserved.
For permanent places, families are required to complete a waiting list application.
The Service is licensed to care for twenty three (23) children at any one time including five (4) children under 2 years of age.
A maximum of 50 hours per month of occasional care is available for each child.
PRELIMINARY VISIT
A preliminary visit for you and your child is required before using the Service. This will help the children to become familiar with the surroundings and staff.Please contact the Service for an appointment.
The Service's aim is to provide quality care and education in a stimulating, happy and safe environment where each child is accepted as an individual.
It is acknowledged that families who use the Service come from a range of backgrounds and cultures, and we aim to support these backgrounds while providing new experiences through a diverse program.
Staff and management endeavour to meet the needs of the community and to provide care and education which supports and compliments practices within the family.
A Preschool program component is also provided which incorporates school readiness activities.
The staff are friendly, caring, interested in children as individuals, and sensitive to the needs of families.
The staff are qualified and the Service is licensed by NSW Department of Community Services.
The Service is sponsored by Hurstville CityCouncil.
The Service provides morning and afternoon tea including drinks. Parents are asked to provide a piece of fruit daily.
If your child has a special diet please bring whatever the child requires for these times.
Occasional Care Fees
Full fee : 8.50 per hour
Subsidies fee $8.00 per hour
Permanent Bookings
Full Fee $55.00 a day
Holding Deposit
(fully refundable if all fees due have been paid)
Occasional Care places - $50.00
Permanent bookings - equivalent to 4 weeks fees
Registration fee of $40.00 for occasional care and it is $20.00 if care begins after 1st July.
Cancellation Fees
no charge for cancellations made the day before booking
Half of the booked hours payable if cancelled after 8am on the day booked
full fees charged when no cancellation is received and the child does not attend
Late Collection Fee
$15.00 for the first 10 minutes or part thereof, $5.00 for each 5 minutes thereafter, or part thereafter
