Our darling has been in Happy Feet Centre for the past almost 3 months. Almost immediately Mia was shining and telling stories to her favourite toys and all the way every night. It is such a joy to see how happy she is, making new friends and discovering new boundaries. The team are friendly and courteous and always make time to tell us about her day and the course of events. We know that without any doubt that our daughter is cared for professionally, genuinely and lovingly. Cannot wait to see what the next 3 months bring.....Thank you Happy Feet Team, you are 1 in a million! Best regards, Phil and Juanita A'Costa
Simone & Staff
I would like to express my many thanks to you and the staff for making Happy Feet not only a learning centre for children but also a place of comfort for families. Everytime i come to the centre, I not only feel welcomed but i feel very comfortable and at peace knowing that my children are going to be well looked after. Everyday you all put on happy faces and i can only say that personally i would not be able to do what you do everyday. You all do an amazing job and i know this from the looks on my children's faces when they return home, from all the talks that me and my children have during dinner about their day. Besides myself and my family, you are role models for my children and they look up to you. I have no worries at all. The centre is doing fantastic, I love helping out by fundraising and giving towards charities. I love the fact that everything is brought to the centre re: bugs, lizards, fire truck etc. Thank you all for doing a great job and most of all looking after families :) Yours Sincerely Katerina Nicholas & Family
Simone and the Team Prepare for their 100km walk
Next Friday – 26th August, Simone and her team of 4 will commence the 100km trek from the Hawkesbury
through Ku-ring-gai National park to Mosman.
Is she scared of not finishing? – “NO”
Is she afraid of never feeling her feet again? – “POSSIBLY”
Is she going to be very, very, tired, grumpy, hungry and irritable? – “OF COURSE”
Is the team and herself going to do the best they can possible do? –“ DEFINITELY “
To my wonderful families and supporters, I will not be present next Friday 26th August as I will be participating in this long awaited walk of a lifetime. When I first signed up for this walk, I thought “I’m fit and healthy, I can do anything. Especially if it’s for charity.” Little did I realise just what kind of terrain and wilderness our bodies and feet will be enduring for a maximum of 48hrs……………as we trek, crawl, climb and drag ourselves through rugged bushlands, across creeks to the a beautiful finish line on the Sydney Harbour. After lots of practice walks with my team, we are pretty confident and a fit team of girls, if anything our will power, mental strength and the scenery will gets us through this.
So while your all enjoying your coffee next Friday morning and snuggling into your warm beds on Friday night, think of me and the thousands of others that insanely decided to ‘KEEP ON WALKING’. If you would like to make a donation to my team and OXFAM please visit our team home page and make an online donation at http://trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/Sydney/teams/team/?team_id=9728
Alternatively you can buy a raffle ticket and be in the draw to win an amazing sail around the Harbour on a Sydney to Hobart yacht for 4hrs, worth $2500.00
Tickets are $25ea or 5 tickets for $100. It may seem expensive but the value of this wonderful prize says it all. Our supporters at the finish line will draw the raffle once we cross the finish line late Saturday night.
Please support me and my team. I greatly appreciated it. I will be keeping the centre updated throughout Friday with where we have begun.
