Communicare Sydney's Children's Services Philosophy
Communicare is a Christian organization. Our children's services aim to reflect Christian values where children can learn and develop to their full potential.
We believe that each child is unique with their own life experiences and background. Children learn through meaningful play experiences which foster self esteem, confidence and creativity.
We believe in creating high quality, inclusive, educational programs tailored to suit each individual child and to meet their physical, social, emotional, spiritual, creative, language and intellectual needs.
We believe in providing an environment that is aesthetically pleasing, where children and families feel welcome, safe and secure and where children feel free to explore and learn. An environment where children are actively engaged and their experiences are enhanced and respected through quality interactions with staff members and others.
We believe that families are the primary educators and carers, and that the family is the most important influence in a child's growing years. Our staff respect each family as unique and diverse, working in partnership with them for the benefit of enhancing and maximizing their child's learning and development. We believe in empowering families to make informed decisions about their child's development and education. We acknowledge the importance of the family unit and strive to support families in their parenting role.
We believe in providing families and the community with opportunities for involvement on a range of different levels. We believe in open and honest communication between families and staff through both formal and informal means, with privacy and confidentiality maintained at all times.
Our staff are professionals who are committed to providing excellence in education and care. They bring diverse experiences, cultural backgrounds, knowledge, talents and interests together which creates a stimulating work environment that enhances a team approach and allows all staff to be empowered by participating in decision making. We believe that staff need support from both families and management to create a work environment that is conducive to development and self fulfilment.
